McCann Erickson, the largest regional media communications company, led by Srdjan Saper, has won the prestigious “Cannes Lions” award at the reputable International Advertising Festival in Cannes.

Competing with nearly two thousand campaigns from around the world, the campaign aimed at raising awareness regarding testicular cancer titled “Check Them” has been rewarded in the category of “Media Lions – for the best integrated communications campaign”, implemented by McCann Erickson in FYRMacedonia.

The Cannes Lions is the most prestigious advertising award in the world, with top quality campaigns competing for it.

This award confirms that McCann Erickson is the regional leader and a company committed to creativity and innovativeness, with more than 10 years of experience. In 12 years since Srdjan Saper established the agency in Belgrade, owing to its work and ideas, Belgrade-based McCann Group with its agencies and representative offices in five countries, has become a true regional communication hub for South East Europe.

At a ceremony organised in the most popular festival city in South France, the founder and the President of McCann Group, Srdjan Saper, and the Director of the agency in Skopje, Vlatko Dimovski, have received the “Cannes Lions” award, in the presence of more than one thousand guests and representatives of the leading global media.

The closing evening of the 56th International Advertising Festival was attended by all largest global advertisers, brands, communications experts, celebrities and renowned names from the advertising and media world.

The campaign of raising awareness regarding testicular cancer has been exceptionally well received in the previous period, having won significant awards at the following world festivals: short-list for the Golden Drum, the award of the audience outside official competition, the gold award at the Golden Hammer festival, and gold at the Media Festival in Valencia.
