NOVI SAD -- Ambassadors from EU countries and the EU Delegation to Serbia expressed their support in Novi Sad today for Serbia's EU integration.

They also voiced support for further investments in the country. At a joint press conference, after the talks of the EU ambassadors with the Vojvodina government president Bojan Pajtić and Vojvodina Assembly Speaker Sandor Egereši, Pajtić reminded that a total of EUR 5bn of direct foreign investments has been invested in the province over the last 10 years via 200 companies, 80 percent of which are from the EU. Head of the EU mission to Serbia Vincent Degert said that the talks in Novi Sad focused on the significant progress Serbia has made on its EU path, a process in which Vojvodina has an important role as a region which is well known for good relations between its numerous ethnic communities. A reception will be organized during the day for the 23 EU ambassadors to Serbia at the office of Novi Sad Mayor Igor Pavličić. The ambassadors will also meet with students from several Novi Sad high schools so as to get acquainted with their stands on Serbia's European future. Source: Tanjug
